How to Play Blackjack on Winna

Updated this week

Blackjack is one of our core house games, combining probability, decision-making, and risk control. Your objective is straightforward: beat the dealer by getting closer to 21 without going over.

This guide explains how to play, the available actions, table rules, and all additional features available on Winna.

1. Set Your Bet Amount

  • Use the Bet Amount field to enter your wager in your chosen currency.

  • Quickly adjust your bet using:

    • ½ – halves your current bet

    • – doubles your current bet

    • Max – wagers your maximum available amount

2. Understand Hand Values

  • Cards 2–10 are worth face value

  • Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10

  • Aces count as 1 or 11, whichever benefits your hand

A Blackjack is an Ace plus any 10-value card on the first two cards.

3. Dealing the Cards

  • You receive two cards

  • The dealer receives:

    • One card face up

    • One card face down

At this point, you may see additional options such as Cash Out, Insurance, or Side Bets, depending on the dealer’s upcard.

4. Player Actions

You may choose from the following actions on your turn:

Hit

Receive another card to improve your hand.

Stand

Keep your current hand and end your turn.

Double Down

  • Double your original bet

  • Receive exactly one additional card

  • Allowed:

    • On any first two cards

    • After a split

Split

  • Available when your first two cards are the same rank

  • Split is allowed once

  • Each split hand requires an additional bet equal to the original wager

  • Split Aces receive one card only (no further hits)

5. Insurance (Optional)

If the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace, Insurance becomes available.

  • Costs half your original bet

  • Pays 2:1 if the dealer has Blackjack

  • If the dealer does not have Blackjack, the Insurance bet is lost and play continues

Important: Dealer Blackjack ends the round immediately.

6. Cash Out (Early Exit)

  • Cash Out is available before your first decision

  • Allows you to exit the hand early for a calculated return

  • Once you take another action (Hit, Stand, Double, Split), Cash Out is no longer available

7. Skip Card (Preview Feature)

  • The Skip Card option lets you see what would have happened if the next card had been dealt

  • This feature is informational only and does not affect gameplay or outcomes

  • Useful for reviewing decisions and understanding variance

8. Multi-Seat Play

  • You may play up to 3 hands simultaneously

  • Each seat follows the same rules

  • Decisions are made independently for each hand

9. Dealer Rules

  • Dealer hits on 16 or less

  • Dealer stands on soft 17

  • Dealer Blackjack:
